The 2018 FAST40+ Race Circuit kicks off this April, with thrilling high speed action for the owner driven class. The season has been extended to six scoring events, ending in October, to decide the overall FAST40+ Champion. For the 2018 season the majority of the events will be stand alone regattas including the FAST40+ National Championship, and the prestigious One Ton Cup. Read more
Girls on Film win the battle – Invictus win the war
Sir Keith Mills’ Ker40+ Invictus, is the 2017 FAST40+ Champion, after winning the last race of the season, taking second place in Round 5, to clinch the overall title. Sir Keith Mills lifted the FAST40+ Trophy, and the Cloudy Bay Bowl, as winner for the 2017 FAST40+ Race Circuit. Read more
FAST40+ Race Circuit Round 5 – Day One
A light shifting breeze was the order of the day, with plenty of wind holes, lulls and puffs, it was a day for shifting gears to make the most of the fickle conditions. Read more

Bright sunshine and a shifting southerly breeze produced a highly strategic finale, before Peter Morton’s CF40+ Girls on Film, retained the HYS One Ton Cup, the first team to do so since 1993. HYS One Ton Cup Grapefruit Graphics Race Day
Two longer round the cans races produced a different dynamic to the HYS One Ton Cup on Grapefruit Graphics Race Day. After a short postponement, a southwesterly breeze arrived at midday, piping up to 15 knots and gusting up to full on planing conditions by the close. Read more

Eastern Flight at Lendy Cowes Week
The 28 mile course sent the fleet as far east as Horse Sand Fort, and contained a large element of fast reaching legs. With 15-20 knots of wind speed, and little tide, the fleet were racing in flat open water. Read more
FAST40+ Fracas at LENDY COWES WEEK
An incident packed second day at Lendy Cowes Week included Girls of Film hitting a rock on approach to a mark, a collision between Invictus and Rebellion at the same mark, plus 42 South snapping their rig, and a navigational error costing a round of drinks at the bar. Read more
Dutch Delight at LENDY COWES WEEK
Bastiaan de Voogd’s Dutch Carkeek MkIII Hitchhiker was the winner on the first day of Lendy Cowes Week, taking Line Honours in just over five hours to win the Royal Southampton Yacht Club Hillhead Salver. Read more
Signal 8 joins FAST40+ Class for Lendy Cowes Week
Thirteen examples of the FAST40+ Class will make up the largest Grand Prix class, racing at Lendy Cowes Week. From the 29th July to 4th August, the FAST40+ Class will be the first start of every day at Britain’s most famous regatta. Read more
2017 FAST40+ Race Circuit Round 2(ii)
Round the Island Race presented by Cloudy Bay
1342 yachts competed in this year’s Round the Island Race, and nine of the top twenty yachts to finish were FAST40s. Ker40+ Invictus, helmed by Alex Mills, took Line Honours for the FAST40+ Class, and the class win after IRC time correction to lift the FAST40+ Cloudy Bay Trophy. Read more

Preview 2017 FAST40+ National Championship
The 2017 FAST40+ National Championship will take place during the RORC IRC National Championship, Friday 23 – Sunday 25 June, with racing in the Solent. A maximum of eight races are scheduled, including a variety of windward / leeward and round the buoys courses. Read more
Epic Win for Ino XXX
Powerful thunderstorms, driving rain and wind speeds ranging from thirty knots to complete shutdowns provided epic conditions for the 256-mile RORC Myth of Malham Race. James Neville’s FAST40+ Ino XXX won the gruelling marathon, correcting out under IRC to take the overall win in the 140 boat fleet. Read more
Invictus Celebrates in Cowes
Ker 40+ Invictus, helmed by Alex Mills has won the opening scoring round of the 2017 FAST40+ Race Circuit, winning the FAST40+ Class at the Royal Ocean Racing Club Vice Admiral’s Cup. Eleven teams took part and after eight races, five teams scored race wins, and nine teams scored podium finishes. Read more

Day Two RORC Vice Admiral’s Cup.
The second day of racing in the Solent was held in solid breeze with Principle Race Officer, Stuart Childerley elected to send the fleet into the Western Solent for two ’round the cans’ races. The breeze increased during the day. 12 knots from the southwest pumped up to 25 knots, and more in the squalls, for a full on foam up downwind. Read more

Day One RORC Vice Admiral’s Cup:
The first day of the RORC Vice Admiral’s Cup was notable for shifting conditions, especially after the first race and the wind speed ranged from 7-16 knots to add to the conundrum for the eleven-strong FAST40+. Stewart Whitehead’s Carkeek 40+ came out of the blocks like a whippet, nailing the first two starts to score two bullets but gear failure hampered Rebellion at the start of the first race. Read more
